Please let us know the following information about the interpretation place: the address, name of the building, floor, name of the hall or the room, the nearest station, and estimated time from the nearest station on foot.

If the place is far from the nearest station, we would appreciate it if you could tell us the means of transportation as far as you know.

In many cases, the schedules of interpreters are filled by a week before. So it may be difficult to find interpreters for an urgent need. Also, if it is a first time use, we may need some time for checking the account of the payment, briefing the interpretation contents, delivery of the documents etc., so please contact us 3-5 days before the interpretation date. If the place is in a rural area of Japan or overseas, please contact us a week before. Also, if your original interpreter was suddenly cancelled and you need another interpreter urgently, please let us know first. If we can find a substitute, we will let you know the estimated cost. (Please note in advance that sometimes we cannot find a suitable interpreter.)

If it is your first time to use our interpretation service, we ask you to pay on the order in general. If you have any problems, for example on accounting, please consult us.

Our interpreter accompanies you and supports your conversation and actions. It is a simple interpretation service for simple contents and level, including guides and reception on an exhibition, driving service, etc. For business meetings and conferences, please use consecutive interpretation.

Note: We ask you to send us interpretation materials and other related information. It depends on the case, however. If we cannot receive the information or materials within 3-7 working days in advance, we cannot assure you of an excellent service. In a way, the interpretation service is like an automobile. The interpreter is a car and the information and materials from the clients are the lubricant and fuel. If the materials are in a digital form, we can quickly transfer them to the interpreter. If you have printed or written materials, please send them to our coordinator by delivery service (car or motorcycle), or by hand.

Yes. You can check the profile of our recommended interpreters through Fax even before the actual order if you are considering ordering. We send you the profiles of some interpreters depending on each case. The contents you can find on the profiles are their experiences, gender etc.

First, please consult us after you check the place and the detailed schedule. Sometimes we require 1-2 days to check the schedules of on-site interpreters. Also, interpreters in Japan can attend you. If you want an interpreter to attend you, please contact us with enough lead time, since it may be necessary to prepare a visa and the trip. If the trip is longer than one week, we can offer you a discount. Please feel free to contact us.

Please schedule a 30 minute to 1 hour pre-meeting before the interpretation service for an effective interpretation procedure. In the case of seminars and symposiums delivered by non-Japanese presenters, a pre-meeting between the presenters and interpreters is especially important. If you do not have enough time on the same day, we recommend holding a pre-meeting during the few days before.

In general, in consecutive interpretation, you need one for half a day (up to 4 binding-hours), and two for all day (up to 8 binding-hours). For simultaneous interpretation, two for half a day (up to 4 binding-hours) and three for all day (up to 8 binding-hours). This is because interpreters need to take turns and keep their concentration. Please ask us for further details. We will suggest the most suitable number of interpreters according to your budget, usage, and purpose.

We offer you a service to take minutes, however, the same interpreters cannot take minutes since they are focusing on providing interpretation services. Instead, we make minutes based on the recorded medium (digital voice recorder etc.) Please consult us for further details.

Brainwoods take your budget into consideration for our interpretation service price. We provide the estimated cost after we hear detailed information such as the interpretation language, place, contents, and speciality etc. If you do not know the date yet, please check the price list on our website.

Brainwoods basically serves two types of price system, which are half-day price (up to 4 binding-hours), and all-day price (up to 8 binding-hours). For half-day price, you can use the service for up to 4 hours. If you have any problem with your budget, we will consider the discount according to the specialty and difficulty of the case. Brainwoods securely controls customers' information. We also make a non-disclosure agreement with each interpreter. We can also sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) upon your request.
